I’m a product builder, one-time failed startup CTO and always obsessive problem solver. Previously I led design for scaling Amplitude’s flagship analytics product and founding their Experiment AB testing product suite. Currently I’m transitioning to create solutions to help climate change through Terra.do and advising for startups.

My Approach

User-centered and data-informed

I’ve led user research studies navigating ambiguity to answer questions like, ‘What long-term financial problems do 40 year olds face?’, ‘Which prototype allows product managers to best create a KPI dashboard?’ and ‘How can we best improve our homepage?’. Through Amplitude I’ve learnt and taught how product teams can track and find insights through behavioral data. By combining both approaches I lead by deeply understanding user problems and making informed decisions through quantitative data.

Collaborative, business-minded and pragmatic strategy

It’s my job to find the best path forward from understanding perspectives of my engineering and business counterparts. Brilliant ideas don’t come from one person, but from the contribution of many. I use design thinking techniques to encourage generative thinking and productive decision making. Through a strong process we can understand trade-offs and strategize accordingly to make the best decision we can with the facts we know right now.

Battle-tested craft for varying platforms and stages of maturity

I’ve designed real experiences that have been used by tens of thousands of people on the web, phone, physical spaces and even augmented reality. This includes the foundational UX/UI for entirely new platforms, optimizing key workflows and creating design systems.
